Sabre Grappler of the Month - October ‘24: Jordan Fyson

The time has come, once again, to announce our Sabre Grappler of the Month.

Recognition is awarded to grapplers on a monthly basis by Head Instructor Matt MacGuire for displaying talent, dedication, and demonstrating our core Sabre Values.

Jordan Fyson is our Sabre Grappler of the Month for October 2024 - Congratulations Jordan!

Head Instructor Matt MacGuire has shared some words on Jordan’s achievement:

“This month, Jordan received the second stripe on his white belt, recognising the steady progress he has made.

Jordan has been with Sabre since I started the team just over a year ago. He has attended more lessons than anyone else, showing the kind of commitment and consistency necessary for our tough sport.

Jordan has shown steady technical improvement over the year. On top of this, his fitness has come on in leaps and bounds and this shows in his sparring. He has definitely exhibited the Sabre values of stoicism and strength as he has persevered through the challenge of live sparring.

Jordan really studies the techniques I teach. He asks great questions in lessons and as a result he develops deeper understanding.

Jordan is a fantastic Sabre student and we are all proud to have him on our team!”
